All well at our vet check yesterday and he's very pleased with her recovery Rory has a hay poke too so has some eye drops. Might put Macy in the bath later on, see how many hay seeds I can pick out of her fur and give her a bit of a trim.

Al is well with with my lot - we are even almost drug free for the first time in I don't know how long! Just a bit of scab picking and cream for Winnie's abscess outlet each day and that's all. Winnie's surgery wound developed a good hanging scab which it was hard to resist pulling off, but I managed!
They're off on their holidays at the weekend to their usual boarding place this time a there's no ringworm (yey!)

Glad you have finally shifted the ring worm and everyone is pretty much back to normal. It's always a relief x

Well my wee holiday this weekend was cut very short by a poorly car, but not before I'd delivered the pigs at boarding. So I'm now sitting at home with an empty cage waiting for my car to be mended so I can go and collect them! Empty cage feels wrong but at least I have Silvie and the boy pigs at home to keep me company.

Good luck. Empty cages are depressing. Hope the car is mended soon!

M'afraid the drama continues, poor Winnie hasn't been well and still isn't 100% so we're off back to the vet again tomorrow. She had bloat a few weeks ago and has struggled to fully recover. She's now behaving like a teenager and whatever she eats one day, she won't touch the next! Just put in a couple of massive online orders for all sorts of tasty things to give her some variety and tempt her to eat. She's struggling to mainin her weight but is not appreciating being syringe fed!

Is she a candidate for alfalfa? The rule is sick or nursing pigs, but it's really pigs needing to add bulk and energy. I hope she's back to normal realky soon ♡

Considering we think she had a wee seizure and yet another visit to the vet yesterday, she's doing pretty well! Vet agrees she's not quite right but there's nothing much apart from metacam that we can do for her. She may have something going on in her lungs which is worse than the scan shows or something going on in her brain or elsewhere that the scan wont see. Just need to keep a close eye on her.
I wonder if she might be on borrowed time now but this pig is not one to go down without a good fight!

If it's a brain problem, keeping her comfy is all you can do. We all get old, and it's not easy. She's loved and cared for. Can't do much better than that.
