King Hywel has a very decided stance on marital vows: All you have is mine and all I have is mine, too!!! A boarly knight worth his salt has to make a stand against all comers and has to defend what is his by right with his body and life. After all, courtly manners are not edible when it comes down it! (Please click on the picture to start the video)As you can see, Hywel has certainly NOT lost any weight during my trip abroad...

Hi Rac hel!
Great that you were trying a rescue first and that you got a pair of boys - piggies are herd animals and so much happier when they have company of their own.
Your pair is gorgeous and I am sure that you are enjoying their antics in the maount they are settling in and coming out of their shells!
Please do not hesitate to ask any questions you may have in our care section.

What cuties - and so sad to hear how they were kept! I am sure that they must think they are in piggy heaven!

Hi and welcome to the forum!
I am looking forward to seeing a picture of Mr. Swag!
In this section, we all keep a bloglike thread about our own guinea pigs, so everybody can have a look and catch up at all times. You can always go back and edit the title to indicate new developments.

I am glad to hear that Ink is getting better despite her shenanigans. Trine's squeaking is submission squeaking; your girls have obviously a change in the hierarchy.
Best of luck with your uni project!

A bath will not help if you suspect mites! You will need proper ivermectin for that. If you are not sure, a trip to the vet is the best way. Fungal skin problems or dry skin can also cause itchiness. It is often not easy to distinguish what is what.
I only bathe my short haired piggies for medical reasons or about every 6 months, whichever comes round first.

I agree with 3piggles.
I have a neighbour who comes to feed twice a day (veg already cut up in labelled ice cream boxes in the fridge). She also refills the water bottles and hay boxes and feed the pellets. I make sure that all jobs are listed on the food box they go with.
She does NOT spot clean, but in a pinch, piggies can survive for a few days without that. Mine just have and are not the worse for wear. The cage with 9 piggies in it was a REAL mess, though!!!

Hi! How is Poppy? Have you found a friend? Your cage is definitely big enough for two!

Have you reported that remark to whoever runs the other site? It is clearly beyond what is considered acceptable on any forums/interactive websites.

Puppy with a piggy fixation??? Dogs can be ever so fascinated by piggies, and some piggies can actually be ubercool about it! Talk about Dizzy driving the builder's dog mad with all that bum wriggling aimed at him!
